TwoSeventyOne’s AFL model finished its first full season at
68.1% accuracy across 209 predictions — a strong debut for a model in its first year of live operation. The Grand Final was our biggest miss: a neutral-venue coding error gave Fremantle a home-ground advantage they didn’t have.
Three fixes are in progress before Round 1, 2027: neutral-venue handling, finals form weighting, and ELO vs win-rate balance.
